A scenic village of Kryštofovo Údolí belongs to the renowned places of interest of Ještědský hřbet (ridge) – see http://www.krystofovoudoli.cz/. The village is attractive for all kinds of active relaxation for people interested in hiking, history or culture. In summer it offers a lot of places of interest for hiking, a swimming bath, mini-golf, tennis courts etc. The local astronomical clock (3rd in the Czech Republic) is worth seeing, the other sights include a permanent exposition – nativity scenes museum, a beautiful recently renovated curbed church and a lot of other nature and architectonic gems, e. g. curb cottages, huge viaducts across the valley, 1km long tunnel etc. Visitors can restore their strength in local pubs and restaurants. Directly behind the chalet there are numerous hiking paths, cycling paths and in winter a cross country track. Sport complex Ještěd in Liberec with a cable way, a lot of ski lifts, and ski jumps is in the distance of approximately 5km, http://www.jested.liberec.cz/, http://www.jested.ceskehory.cz,  The regional town of Liberec is in the distance of approximately 9 km, in this town it is possible to visit Babylon local entertainment park with an aqua-park and an indoor swimming pool, the botanical garden and the ZOO. After passing through Liberce in the direction to Bedřichov it is possible to join the well known main ski track in the Jizerské mountain. Also a trip by train across two huge 2 bridges spanning across the valley and then through a tunnel under the Křižany saddle is breath taking. The train stops directly in this fairy tale village – Novina train stop is the closest train stop to the chalet. A local bus service may be used for trips to Liberec and the surroundings.
